I’m sure most people who shoot archery have heard of the term “shooting a Robin Hood.” If not, a “Robin Hood” is when an archer shoots an arrow into the bullseye, then following that shot the person shoots a second arrow right into the back of the previous arrow. This coveted shot is only achieved a few times or possible never for some shooters! Oftentimes the second arrow may nick the fletchings of the previous arrow or chip the nock.

How about trick shots? Similar to the difficult shots marksman make with guns, archers also attempt comparable shots simply with a bow and arrow. Some of these shots include shooting quarters and dimes out of the air, extinguishing lit candles with their arrow, and even splitting the skinny side of a playing card!

How about ya’ll? Any of you ever shot a Robin Hood? How about trick shots? Let us know!   ~Katie Helms
