Amanda’s First with a Muzzleloader!
Well to be honest, I didn’t even want to hunt today! It had been a solid 5 Years since my last deer so to say the least I was frustrated. I’m sure everyone has been there, you put in the time and effort and someone who hunts once or twice a year goes out t and gets something bigger than anything you have ever even seen! My husband finally convinced me to go to a place we haven’t visted in a year just for a change of scenery, but im not going to say i was a pleasant companion at all!
We get settled in and I start to relax, because there really is nothing i love more than the hunt. We are there about an hour when this deer strolls in, and stares us down..but is not startled! After about 10 min of him eyeing us, he moves behind and tree so I can pull my gun up. Chris grunted for the deer to stop and i pulled the trigger. He fell right where he was! It may not be a monster but it will help fill the freezer and make excellent homemade bratwurst! (tutorial following soon!)
